The Main Lodge

Our craftsman lodge was completed in 2016 with the help of many talented friends and family members. This comfortable space is where meals are served, games are played, and great conversations are had! At Tebay Lodge, you will be beyond the reach of phone calls and email. Immerse yourself in your present surroundings - disconnect from technology and reconnect with wilderness, friends and family.

Questions & Answers

Is there electricity?

Yes! Tebay enjoys reliable power in all of the buildings with a state of the art generator and solar system. To conserve resources, the power is typically turned off once everyone has gone to bed and then turned back on before the first pot of coffee is brewed! If need be, we are able to accommodate keeping the power on through the night by special request.

Can I bring my littles ones?

Yes, in the summer months children of all ages are welcome to join their family or guardians at Tebay. However, there is no childcare provided at Tebay and parents must be responsible for their underage children at all times. Please contact us to inquire about bringing children under 16 years old on winter visits.

Can you accommodate special dietary requests?

Yes, we are happy to customize the menu during your stay with adequate advance notice. Please note that this may incur additional charges.

Do you have bathrooms?

Composting loos are located in separate out house buildings. These bathrooms are maintained and cleaned daily; the buildings also have electricity.

How do we get to Tebay?

Tebay is accessible only by small float or ski quipped aircraft depending on the season. Let us know your travel plans and we will help set up the best charter option for you.

What is the best season to visit Tebay? Weather?

All of the them! If you are a backcountry skiing enthusiast, you will want to visit us during our March and April Ski Weeks. For all other activities you cannot go wrong May through September. Weather is a wildcard at all times of the year, in all parts of Alaska. Backcountry lodges such as Tebay are dependent on airplane travel and as such, the weather. Tebay is located between costal and interior climates. If you are coming to ski, you will want storms that bring big dumps which come from the coast. If you're coming for summer lake adventures, the interior dryness will be in your favor. We get it all. Tebay rarely sufferers long term weather systems.

In Alaska, weather is only measured by your sense of adventure :)
